NEW day and time for ARTFELLOWS!!! Starting Sunday Jan 8th Artfellows moves to Sunday afternoons from 2-4pm! We have had a decent amount of requests from people to have class on a weekend and we listened. So for all of you who asked...please join us for our first class of the New Year: Intro to Realism Sunday Jan. 8th through Sunday Feb. 12th from 2-4pm in Taylor Hall. Resentment. Fear. Self-Pity. Intolerance. Anger. It's not uncommon for individuals in recovery to hang on to negative, self-defeating behaviors after they've given up their addiction. These are the "rocks" that can sink recovery - or, at the least, block further progress. "Drop the Rock", based on the Twelve Step Program, particularly the principles behind Steps Six and Seven, is a guide to removing character defects that can prevent gratifying, long-standing recovery. The study will meet in the parish house each Friday from 6:30 to 8 PM, beginning Feb 17 and continuing for six weeks through Mar 23. All are welcome.

All members of Worship Ministry Teams are invited to the first Ministry Teams Potluck of 2012 on Feb. 18 @ 5:07 pm. Our theme is Mexican Food! We will supply the drinks, plates, and utensils, and you provide your favorite appetizer, main dish, or dessert to share and we will have a wonderful evening of food, fellowship, and fun. The MCCR is please to be showing "Soul Surfer" as our next free movie on Saturday, February 18th at 6:30pm. Come join us, admission is free and open to the public. Story line:
13 year-old Bethany Hamilton is a champion surfer who was born to be in the water. But after a fun night out night surfing and what should be a fun day in the water, she is attacked by a shark and loses her arm. Rushed to the hospital, she remains calm, and maintains her faith in God. Now she has to re-learn how to do everything with only one arm - including how to surf. It will take her friends, family, and her Christian faith to get her back into the water, but if that is where she is meant to be, she will find a way to get there.
